  All four of my kids attended Mount Vernon Presbyterian Preschool. I am heartbroken that our last has just graduated and we will not be seeing the wonderful teachers each day.
  
  My kids were thoroughly prepared and breezed through kindergarten. When driving by the preschool in the afternoon recently, my pre-k graduate said “ I wish I could go to my school twice a day.”
  
  In reference to one of the reviews, I also have knowledge of the preschool director going above and beyond to make accommodations for children that needed extra help- to include hiring extra staff. There have been several occasions when the teachers have picked up on developmental delays that resulted in the students getting the therapy they needed before starting kindergarten. It is evident that the teachers love their jobs and their students AND are knowledgable.
  
  I cannot recommend this preschool enough!!!

  Awesome school with great, caring teachers. I know of two instances where they hired another teacher to help with kids needing extra attention. That is putting the student first!
  We are almost 6 years in with two different kids and we love it!

  I had the pleasure of sending two children to MVPC Preschool for several years. I can't say enough good things about the program. My son has special needs and was given an extra instructor at no cost to us. They worked closely with us to develop strategies and an IEP that transitioned perfectly to Kindergarten. My two children have flourished in elementary school after attending this Preschool. My children, and I, also made lifelong friends. The teachers were warm, caring, and experienced. There is a small student to teacher ratio, effective curriculums, ample outside time, art, music, library, and religious education. Now that we have moved away I am experiencing what a less-dedicated preschool program entails. :( I miss MVPCP!

  We love this school! Great teachers who care for each of their students. My son loves going to school and never wants to leave.

  This school is so near and dear to my heart. My third child just started school here after my first 2 had wonderful experiences . All of he teachers try their very hardest to make each child not only feel welcomed but also loved. The structure around the care is very detailed and well thought out due to a director who has been there for many many years and cares a lot about the success of the school! I have had kids in each of the classes as well as the after school enrichment classes which not all preschools in our area offer, and have been very happy. There are lots of preschools in the area and ours seems to stay a hidden gem. Most students are siblings I'm finding, because the parents have had such a great time with their older children here. I highly recommend this preschool.
